“Cakey” Walker… Top, top Officer, and my OC in Ajax at the S of I when we were the Tank Demo’ Sqn on the good old Cent’s in ’70 – ’71, before he went on to greater things. I couldn’t fault him, even when he sent me down to Bovi’ on the Regimental Police in January ’71… Fortunately, the sqn was short of crews by the March, so back I went. RIP Sir…
Cakey’s memorial service will be held on the 22nd March @ 12:00. As it is to be held in Sandhurst, the attendance arrangements are complicated to say the least, hence I haven’t tried to print them here. Should anyone want the details, please drop me a line on green528@btinternet.com
May you Rest In Peace, Sir. What a great service you have given us.FN
