From Dave Hughes about his brother 🙁 I wanted to pass on the news that my brother Joe who served with the Regiment, passed away in the early hours yesterday. Joe had been in care for some considerable time following a RTA incident and his condition drastically deteriorated last week. I was by his side when he left us and his final moments were without pain and peaceful. We are meeting with the funeral directors today and will pass on the funeral arrangements when we have made our plans. He will be buried in Northampton and his sister Laura has expressed a wish that anyone who served with him is welcome to attend. I am starting to receive condolences from fellow Regimental brothers and if you want to contact me please do so via FB. Joe was loved by all who knew him, he was especially respected by his mates in MT. Joe came to the Regimental directly from Leconfield and served his entire time in Nero Sqn. RIP brother FN!
