Marj and I go back a long way, we were in the same troop in Munster then Lisnaskea, crewed together on a Chieftain in Suffield, toured Montana with a couple of others which I could write a book about! He then came to MVEE Chertsey on a 2 year posting and I instructed him on driving Challenger and we even crewed a special Challenger test vehicle of which I have possibly the only remaining photo. Saddened by this news he was a great friend.
Marj and l were in the same brick in 2Troop Ajax for the Armagh tour and had so many laughs together, like running back to the UDR centre in Lisnaskea after a night at the Ortine Hotel and almost getting shot by thr sentry!!! He was allways a great friend and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.R.l.P old mate.
May you Rest In Peace 🙏 matey, Fond memories,FN
