I first met Vic when he returned to the Regiment in the summer of ’71 to become 4Tp Sgt, Ajax when we were the Tank Demonstration Sqn at the School of Infantry. On our return to BAOR/Münster in September ’72, Vic was promoted to SSgt and posted to 2Tp as Tp Ldr, and for my part I followed him to become his op’. Prior to Vic’s service with the Para Sqn, he was a member of the Special Recce Sqn., RAC. On that first exercise back in BAOR, Vic led us to the winners of the Inter-Crew Competition. Top, top man…RIP Vic.
Rest In Peace Vic, we never met, so wait till I join you 🙂 but do remember you from my Omagh days, FN.
