Shocked, like so many others by the sad news.
Fond memories of our friendly Gnr’s rivalry as part of SHQ Badger. Danny, Capt White, Steve Harbord and Beachball on 0C. Me, Maj Paddy Bangham, Frank Kemp and George on 0B.
Top crews, great people, brilliant memories.
Rest in Peace mate.
Such very sad news. Danny, you leave behind some fond memories of our time together in 2RTR…..from your early years in 6 Tp Badger with Milky Ranson and all the lads. Moving onto SHQ and you, me, Beachball and the 2 i/c, Capt White, digging holes with the dozer tank on Soltau. Not forgetting you as Col Hammerbecks gunner during annual firing. Ill always remember you asking him to switch the CCMU to last logic due to the dust…….he accidently switched it off !! By your language you weren’t best pleased and he was rather shocked !! These and other memories ill never forget. Until we meet again in theTankies Tavern`. God Bless FN

Great memories Frank
CO’s (Hammerbeck) gunner if I remember correctly – proof that he was a very good soldier, further proved by his subsequent AAC career. RIP.
