I struggled to post a couple of phossies on both the Roll of Honour & the Personal Tributes pages. They are from Lulworth in the 70s, and are on the “2RTR…back in the day” website if you are interested. RIP Gary…
Garry Kelly what a mate he,was we had so much fun together and I have missed his humour over the years, we worked together on the AA where he was awarded The Patrolman of the Year justly deserved RIP my old Mate 2pints of Double Diamond in the Tankies Tavern.
Gary Kelly was a character and a good friend during my early years with the Regiment…..I also got to know his family well and spent many leave days at his parents place in Battersea.I could tell many tales of many excellent evenings dulled by the mist of ‘one to many’ that we enjoyed in Hohne and U.K.
I last saw him some 30 years ago when he asked me to write a character reference as he was keen on joining a TA RE Unit.
Bridie and I were saddened to see that he has joined his many friends in the Green Fields…..condolences to his family and many friends.
